Trusted care · Happy kids · Peace of mind
I'm Bethani. I look after babies, toddlers and school-age children in and around Wallingford, so you can go to work, go out for the evening, or simply get a few hours back.
About me
Childcare is what I trained for and what I've chosen to do. I hold NVQ Level 2 and Level 3, I'm safeguarding and first aid trained, and I'm on the DBS update service.
What that looks like day to day is fairly simple. I turn up when I said I would, I listen to how you do things at home, and I keep to it. Nap times, dinner times, screen rules, the very specific way the bedtime story has to be read: those things matter to children, so they matter to me.
I'm comfortable with babies from four months upwards through to children of ten, and happy with the practical side of it too, whether that's bottles and nappies, cooking a proper tea, or getting three of them out of the door for the school run. My car is insured for business use, so I can do the school and nursery runs and get everyone to clubs. Hygiene is something I'm careful about, and your house is left as I found it.
I also do overnight stays, which means bedtime, the night itself and breakfast the next morning, so you can go to a wedding or be away for a night without moving the children out of their own beds.
Before you book, I'd always rather meet first. Come and ask me anything, and I'll bring my certificates and DBS with me.

What I can help with
Some families book me every week. Others get in touch twice a year. From an hour or two in the evening through to a full overnight stay, both are welcome.
Dinner, bath, bedtime, and a quiet house until you're home. A meal out, a late shift, or an evening you'd rather not rush back from.
Bedtime, the night itself, and breakfast in the morning. For a wedding, a night away, a hospital stay, or a shift that runs through to the small hours.
Full or half days in your home, with a proper rhythm to it: meals, naps, playing, and getting outside when the weather allows.
Drop-offs, pick-ups and the gap in between. Useful when your working hours don't quite line up with the school day.
Half terms, inset days, summer holidays and weekends, when the usual arrangements aren't running.
An appointment, an unexpected shift, a child sent home from school. Message me and I'll tell you straight away if I'm free.
Ages I care for
A four-month-old needs something completely different to a nine-year-old. Move the slider to your child's age and see what the care actually looks like.
Bottles, weaning, nappies and naps, kept to your timings rather than mine. Plenty of holding, talking and floor time in between, and a note of how the day went.
